Virtual Tours

I thought this was an interesting website.  My students and I toured Antartica and had fun without freezing!  Check it out!

Take virtual tours!

  1. Thanks for the great site! My class is studying penguins right now and we will have to take the virtual tour too! We are also focusing on The Magic Tree House series in Readers' Workshop. I bet there are tours on that site that go along with some of the books in the series!

  2. Thanks Stacy! This is a great website and great way to give students the background knowledge they sometimes lack. I love the idea of giving them visuals.

  3. This was a great find, Stacy! It's amazing how students can go "anywhere" in the world on the internet! In college, I learned about Webquests. With Webquests, students go to websites that the teacher directs them to so that they can conduct research on a topic. The virtual field trips remind me of that. Maybe students can do research off of those websites? I checked out the other tabs on the left side of the page, as well! Very interesting, and def. Diigo-ing lol!!!

  4. Stacy, What a great site!!! I would love to use this within my classroom. So many times your students ask what a place is like and this is a great way to let them have that little insight of what it may be like!!! Thank you!!!
